Sarri: Eden Hazard Should Not be Stopped if He Wants to Move from Chelsea

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri says that he must "respect Eden Hazard's decision" if the player wants to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Reports on Monday revealed that Real Madrid wanted to spend 100 million pounds for the 28-year-old Belgian national team player.

Hazard became the hero of Chelsea when he scored twice in their 2-0 win over West Ham.

"If Eden wants another experience, it is very difficult to keep him here," Sarri told Sky Sports after the match on Tuesday.

"Eden played an extraordinary match. When he can play like this, we are lucky because it's easy to win the matches."

"One hundred million (pounds) is too cheap in this transfer market situation - we have seen more in the last transfer window."

"The club agrees with me about defending Hazard. We strive to continue to improve performance. We strive to be one of the best teams in England and Europe - but I have to respect his decision."

"I hope that (Hazard's desire to move) is not true. Every coach wants to keep the players like him," the Italian added to BBC Radio 5 Live.

"It will be difficult when players like Eden decide to change teams. It's very difficult to find other players at the same level because in the world there are only two or three players." he said as reported by Antara.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane said last week that he "always liked" Hazard, but the transfer agreement would be difficult for the Blues to realize because they were getting a transfer ban.

They cannot bring in new players until January 2020 for violating the rules regarding the recruitment of U-18 foreign players. Their appeal against the decision will be heard by FIFA on April 11.
