TURIN, NETRALNEWS.COM -- Juventus and Portugal Striker Cristiano Ronaldo has been fined 20,000 euros or equivalent to IDR 321 million by UEFA on Thursday after celebrating a goal that mocked Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone by imitating the coach's body language when Juventus won the Champions League last 16 last weekend.

The 34-year-old scored a goal when the Italian champions reversed a 0-2 deficit in the first leg to qualify for the quarter-finals.

He imitated Simeone's gesture in the first leg by touching his own vital part and pushing him forward after successfully entering a penalty kick.

Simeone was fined 20,000 euros by UEFA due to the celebration.

"He will show what I did at Wanda Metropolitano and, like me, tried to show his character," Simeone said after the match.

Ronaldo, who returned to the Portuguese national team after nine months out, has scored 24 goals for Juventus since being brought in from Real Madrid at a price tag of 100 million euros last year, according to Antara.
