MANCHESTER, NETRALNEWS - Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes his team can go further in the Champions League after it was ensured that his club would met Barcelona in the quarter-finals.

The Champions League draw will make Solskjaer return to the Camp Nou 20 years after scoring an injury-time winner in the 1999 Champions League final.

Manchester United will meet Liverpool in the semi-finals if the two English clubs qualify for the semi-finals.

"I think we have shown determination against Paris St-Germain that anytime we can beat the top team," the BBC quoted Solskjaer on Saturday (03/16/2019).

"Any team can beat all the teams in the last eight. There are still the best, high quality. Of course, with Cristiano (Ronaldo) still in this competition, I don't think it's too open."

Solskjaer's side became the first team to overcome a 0-2 or more first-leg deficit in the Champions League when they beat PSG 3-1 to qualify from the last 16.

The away win was confirmed by Marcus Rashford's penalty in injury time, given by the referee's video assistant (VAR).

"There are so many variables and this match will be determined by margin. Of course with VAR, even though for me it's a penalty, you can still be unlucky and not get it at the last minute and then we will be eliminated and no one will really remember the appearance we fight PSG. "

"If you keep working, if you work hard, show the right attitude every day and do the right thing, you can maximize your chances."

"So yes, we can go forward, but we need luck and play well along the way," the Norwegian coach completed.
