Zidane Resigns, The Doctor Chimes In

Valentino Rossi

MUGELLO, NNC – Zinedine Zidane's departure from Real Madrid is drawing the attention of many, including MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi. The Movistar Yamaha rider commented on Zidane's decision to leave Madrid after he won his third consecutive Champions League title in his 2.5-year career in the Spanish capital.

Rossi is known as a racer who is very fond of football. This legendary rider is a big fan of Inter Milan. Therefore when asked for comments about the resignation of the Frenchman, the man who often referred to as The Doctor immediately gave an enthusiastic answer.

"It's quite difficult to understand, although football and MotoGP are different. He has won three Champions League titles, which is like winning three world titles in our sport," said Rossi to Marca.

"If you are a champion, the first thought is that you will want to keep racing with the same bike and the same team, but he has said that this is the right time and he already got everything he needed from the players.

"He needs something new, so I do not understand it too well, but maybe in football you need to find new motivations," he concluded.
