MONTMELO, NNC - Sebastian Vettel took first place on the second day of F1 preseason test. The Ferrari rider successfully posted the fastest time record ahead of Valtteri Bottas from Team Mercedes who was in second position.
Vettel devoured a total of 98 rounds in the second-day preseason test at the Catalonia Circuit on Tuesday (2/27/2018). He recorded a time of one minute 19.673 seconds. The German rider was also sharpening his time on the first day with only one minute 20.179 seconds by Daniel Ricciardo.
While in second place, Bottas lost 0.303 seconds fast. The second day's surprise was Stoffel Vandoorne. The rider has a newly bundled sponsorship contract with KFC Indonesia and was immediately impressive despite being the first to get off on the Formula 1 track along with McLaren-Renault MCL33. He finished in third position with a time of 0.652 seconds slower than Vettel.
Max Verstappen who had experienced problems of fuel leakage finally finished in fourth position. While the fifth position was occupied by Carlos Sainz Jr. Meanwhile, the defending champion Lewis Hamilton did not perform on the second day's test.
