LEICESTER, NNC – Leicester City manager Claude Puel spoke up over his player, Riyad Mahrez, who is rumored to be replacing Liverpool star Philipp Coutinho.
Clude Puel claims Riyad Mahrez is currently happy with Leicester City. He advised that Mahrez should finish the season first before talking about the future.
Philippe Coutinho had just left Liverpool to move to Barcelona. The Brazilian player was imported with a transfer value of 160 million euros.
In the hunt for a substitute to replace Coutinho, some names have surfaced, such as Thomas Lemar, Julian Draxler, Alexis Sanchez, and Mahrez.
"I think it's important that he (Mahrez) keeps his focus and concentration until the end of the season. I'm happy with him and I think he enjoys his football game. He is happy with this team," Puel said in Soccernet.
"We are trying to develop good games from the start and he likes this. He has got great results with assists and goals in recent matches," he added.
Mahrez played pretty well this season. He has already scored seven goals in 22 games with Leicester in the Premier League.
