BANDUNG, NNC – To wade League 1 competition next season, new coach of Persib Bandung, Roberto Carlos Mario Gomez, indicates he will bring in three foreign legions into the squad.

But, Mario Gomez still wants to see first contribution from foreign players owned by Persib Bandung at this time before League 1 of 2018 season begins.

"For foreign players there must be two or three, but I do not know who, because there are still three foreign players here. [I] have not seen the condition of the players who can participate or not [join the competitions]," said Mario Gomez through his assistant Fernando Solar in Bandung, West Java, Sunday (12/10/2017).

Gomez said he will move quickly in forming the team framework. He confessed he already knew some of the strength of local players of Persib.

Even so, he will select which players will be defended or dropped. In the near future, this will be discussed with the management of Persib.

"We are starting to work together with local players, if there is lacking, we will meet with the club to look for other players. On Monday or Tuesday we start working to find a good team," he said as cited from Antara.

Roberto Carlos Mario Gomez arrived in Indonesia on Saturday (12/9). Gomez came with Fernando Soler who will serve as his assistant during architecting Persib.

On Sunday (12/10), Gomez was officially introduced to the public at Sidolig Stadium, Bandung City. The 60-year-old coach was tied with a two-year contract with a one-year extension option.
