JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM – Indonesia national team is scheduled to face the world's top countries in the framework of FIFA trial match. Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) as the motherland of the country's football has been preparing for the national team match against one of FIFA (International Football Federation)'s top rank countries.
"We are exploring a team that has been targeted. We will inform if there is positive signal," said Head of Media Relations and Digital Promotion of PSSI Gatot Widakdo in Jakarta, Friday (9/29/2017).
Gatot continued FIFA's top five national team matches will be held in the FIFA's friendly match calendar.
For information, FIFA international friendly match schedule in 2017 remains on October 2-10, 2017 and November 6-14, 2017. In October 2017, Luis Milla's national team is confirmed to play against Cambodia on Wednesday (10/4) at the Patriot Chandrabaga Stadium, Bekasi.
Previously, Secretary General of PSSI Ratu Tisha Destria once stated the opportunity of organizing national team of Indonesia match against Portugal which is in third position of FIFA rankings.
However, until now, PSSI mentioned the match against the national team nicknamed Seleco das Quinas cannot be ascertained.
As for the latest data from September 4, 2017, the five national teams that have FIFA ranking from one to five, respectively, are Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina and Belgium. Indonesia national team is currently on position 169th on FIFA.
