JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - BLACKPINK has reached an extraordinary milestone with their YouTube channel! On March 23, YG Entertainment released news that BLACKPINK's official YouTube channel had exceeded 20 million customers.

Their channel has grown rapidly, reflecting their growing popularity, doubling the number of customers in less than a year when they celebrated receiving awards for 10 million customers in August 2018.

"The number of YouTube customers is one of the objective ways to see the popularity and recognition of groups abroad. BLACKPINK can get an additional 10 million customers in about eight months, showing their global influence," said YG Entertainment, reported by Soompi.

Meanwhile, according to the Billboard page, BLACKPINK is the first K-pop artist channel to reach 20 million customers, making them one of only 20 artists who have reached a milestone.

Various agencies operate YouTube channels in different ways, with some uploading content for all artists under one channel while others dedicate separate channels for each of their artists.

For K-pop agency channels, ibighit, the official channel for Big Hit Entertainment artists such as BTS and TXT, holds a record and currently sits at 22 million customers.

Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo & Lisa joined a group of elite artists to reach 20 million on the streaming platform.

Blackpink has just reached a milestone in their journey towards total domination of pop culture.

Last month, Blackpink made its official television debut in the United States. In the US itself BLACKPINK's appearance was a huge success with "Ddu-du Ddu-du" on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

This spring, they will be the headlines of their first US tour and, in April, will be the first K-pop girl group to take the stage at Coachella.
