JAKARATA, NNC - Entering its 16th year of implementation, the Jakarta Fashion & Food Festival (JFFF) adds a program for industry players by holding the Jakarta Brand Festival (JBF) 2019.

The Chairman of JFFF, Soegianto Nagari, said that JBF was a program of initiation of the collaboration between the Jakarta Fashion & Food Festival (JFFF) and PT Gambaran Kasih Indonesia (gambaranbrand) for the common vision and mission to make the program develop a local Indonesian brand in a concrete manner. Especially in the fashion and culinary fields, so that they can grow bigger and survive in their respective industries. Local brands that survive will be a valuable national asset, and create an economic atmosphere for Indonesia that is getting better.

"The presence of JFFF for more than 1½ decades has become a consistent arena to continue to preserve and develop the cultural value and strength of the Indonesian economy through fashion and culinary industries based on culture. Therefore, we think it's time to add another program at JFFF. Programs that can accelerate the business performance of our local brands in a concrete way, "said Soegianto, Friday (03/08/2019).

Soegianto added the initial stage of JBF, the 'Accelerator Program' was held, namely a mentoring program for selected local brands (Mentee) with one on one method with Mentors who are professionals with approximately 15 years of experience from 6 different disciplines. The disciplines are Strategy, HR / Organization, Sales / Marketing (offline & online), Operation / Supply Chain, Product / Service, and Finance.

The period of January - February 2019 was then opened by general registration for candidates for Mentees / Brands who wish to take part in JBF 2019 Accelerator Program. Mentee Requirements, namely local brands that have business entities and have been established for at least 3 years, reside in JaBoDeTaBek, have own products / services and are not affiliated with franchises, political parties, or other business partnerships, have a membership of at least 5 people, and have simple financial proof.

From approximately 100 registrants, the committee then curated and selected 20 Mentees to take part in the next stage, namely the Kick-Off Meeting between Mentor and Mentee on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Harris Hotel & Conventions Kelapa Gading. Each Mentee / Brand includes 2 people consisting of 1 Owner and 1 Manager / Supervisor. In the meeting, in addition to briefings and introductions between Mentors and Mentees, the next selection stage was also carried out through Mentor interviews with Mentees to select 10 Mentees who were entitled to participate in mentoring activities.

Furthermore, the 10 selected Mentees / Brands are entitled to participate in a mentoring program to improve their business performance by getting mentoring by Mentors from 6 disciplines for 4x meetings in a period of 4 months. Through the mentoring program, the Mentees will get an evaluation and direct input from the figure of a respected industry capable of providing motivation and direction clearly as a Mentor. Not only that, at the end of JBF 2019's 'Accelerator Program' the selected Mentees also had the opportunity to become one of the tenants of participants in the 2019 Jakarta Fashion & Food Festival grand event.

JFFF is an annual grand celebration held since 2004 by Summarecon and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the Department of Tourism and Culture of DKI Jakarta Province and also supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and the Indonesian Creative Economy Agency.
