TOKYO, NNC - Japan-based global car manufacturer Nissan Motor Co will recall more than 150,000 cars in Japan. The recall is set to be conducted due to improper final inspection process before the cars were shipped from two manufacturing plants in Japan.

"Nissan has just discovered a number of discrepancies that might have caused failed test results," Nissan Motor said in its publication on Saturday (08/12).

The latest incompatibility involves inspection of brakes, steering wheels, measurement of vehicle speed and stability.

Nissan has revealed several other cases related to inappropriate inspections over the past year.

The carmaker said in July that testing samples for emissions and fuel economy in final inspections in most of its factories in Japan did not meet domestic standards.

Since October last year, Nissan has recalledmore than 1 million cars in Japan due to inappropriate inspections.
