ANKARA, NNC - The New York Times posted a video on Saturday (11/17/2018) detailing developments leading to the murder of Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi.
Visual evidence that has never before seen in this case in Turkish media, shows the role of several members of the 15 "killing team" who allegedly committed the murder and Saudi efforts to cover up the crime.
"There are 15 of them. Most arrive in the middle of the night, set traps and wait for the target to arrive. The target is Jamal Khashoggi [...]," wrote the text in the video, which shows footage of supervision of the Saudi team.
The video also shows the possibility of Saudi Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman's involvement, noting, "many western government officials" thought of ratifying the murder.
Khashoggi, a journalist to The Washington Post, was killed on October 2 in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.
After weeks of denying involvement in crime, Saudi Arabia later acknowledged that Khashoggi had been killed in the consulate but claimed the Saudi royal family had no prior knowledge of plans of the murder.
So far, 21 people, including security officers, have been arrested in Saudi Arabia in connection with the killings, Anadolu reported.
