JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM – Shopping fans, come to JIExpo Kemayoran on August 15-27 there will be a massive shopping discount welcoming the 72nd Anniversary of Independence of Indonesia.

Happy Birth Day Indonesia (HBDI) Festival is held for 13 days on August 15-27, 2017 at JIExpo Kemayoran. Meanwhile, Indonesia Discount Shopping Day (HBDI) will take place on August 17-20, 2017 in all modern retailers in Indonesia.

Commerce Minister Enggartiasto Lukita expressed his enthusiasm to welcome the 72nd Birthday of the Republic of Indonesia with a lively discount on the festival of Happy Birth Day Indonesia (HBDI) and Indonesian Discount Shopping Day (HBDI).

According to Enggar, the two HBDIs initiated by the Association of Shopping Center Tenants of Indonesia (HIPPINDO) is a golden opportunity to juxtapose various local brands with international brands.

"Today is the momentum most appropriate for local brands to rise up and align with foreign brands. I want through this HBDI, local brands can be better known at home and abroad so that spur the trademark owners of the brand to improve its competitiveness. It is important to move the domestic industry," said Minister Enggar when opening officially HBDI in JIExpo Kemayoran, Tuesday (8/15).

HBDI is targeted to attract as many as 20 million consumers. A total of 300 local brands and 200 international brands will enliven the festival.

"I appreciate the entrepreneurs who have participated. It shows their gratitude by giving a fantastic gift, i.e., a discount made simultaneously throughout Indonesia," said Enggar.

In addition, HBDI is also expected to become a national shopping tourism that is able to attract foreign tourists, so it can also be an opportunity to introduce Indonesian culture. Enggar dreamed of HBDI to be iconic events like Black Friday in the United States or Boxing Day Sale in the UK, which further solidify HBDI as the national offline shopping day. (*)
