JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - After going through a leadership meeting (rapim) on Monday (7/17/2017) morning, the Provincial Government of Jakarta agreed the newly-built interchange in Semanggi to be named "Simpang Susun Semanggi" or Semanggi Interchange.
"It was decided in the leadership meeting the name is Simpang Susun Semanggi, unchanged," said Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat at Jakarta City Hall on Monday (7/17).
According to Djarot, Simpang Susun Semanggi is the name proposed by Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok while still serving as Jakarta Governor.
"Still like the initial concept that was stated by Mr Basuki at that time, the name is unchanged," said the former Blitar Mayor.
Djarot added that he had ordered to make a decision letter on the naming of the interchange, and will be announced on trial by July 29, 2017.
According to plan, Simpang Susun Semanggi will be inaugurated on August 17, 2017 by President Joko Widodo.
"I have ordered to make the governor's decision [letter]. The governor's decision [letter] is being processed and then we will present it at the soft launching for open traffic, InsyaAllah [God willing] on July 29, before the grand launching by the president on August 17," he said. (*)
