MEDAN, NNC - A 2.5-hectare marijuana field in the Tor Sihite (TS) hilly region of Banjar Lancat Village, Panyabungan Timur District, North Sumatra, has been destroyed by the authorities.

The destruction of the marijuana fields was carried out by the Mandailing Natal District National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) with the local police and the 0212 / TS Kodim.

The Head of Mandailing Natal National Narcotics Agency, Saharudin Bangko, said that the destruction of the marijuana field was based on a warrant from the Head of North Sumatra's BNNP Number: Sprin.gas / 657 / lll / Ka / Pb.00 / 2019 / BNNP SU dated March 4, 2019 about OPS Disposal of Marijuana Fields in the region Mandailing Natal District, North Sumatra.

"Extermination by being revoked and burned at the scene of the crime (TKP) was carried out in a joint operation by BNN, Kodim 0212 / TS and Polres Madina on Thursday (03/07/2019) night," said Saharudin Bangko Friday (8/3 / 2019).

Bangko further said that the destruction of the land was carried out by officers totaling 70 people.

"The total number of personnel carrying out the destruction of the marijuana fields is 70 people who are also assisted by the local community," he said.

He said that the height of the destroyed crops varied from one to three meters.

"If it is summed with the details of one square meter, there are six cannabis stems which, if converted to cannabis plants, amount to approximately 50 tons of wet marijuana and if it is dried the amount is approximately 30 tons," he said.
