PDIP: Anis’ 0 Down Payment Housing Program Not for Disadvantaged People

JAKARTA, NNC - Jakarta Regional Representatives’ PDIP Faction criticizes several programs in the one-year administration of Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan. Monday (10/15/2018) in the PDIP Faction Meeting Room, Jakarta Regional Representatives Building, at Kebun Sirih, Central Jakarta.

"There are a number of excellent programs planned by Anies Baswedan with Sandiaga Uno at the beginning of his leadership, which have yet to be fulfilled," said Secretary of Jakarta Regional Representatives’ PDIP Faction, Dwi Rio Sambodo.

Among these criticisms, one of them is the 0 Down Payment Housing Program, which is now transforming into the SAMAWA program.

The program is clearly not for the disadvantaged people, but for residents who earn IDR4-7 million per month.

"In fact, Government Regulation No. 30 of 2011 concerning Regional Government Loans Article 5 paragraph 1 states that local governments cannot provide guarantees for loans from other parties," Rio said.

"There were some people who felt they had bought land with down payment, but instead the location turned into the 0 Down Payment Housing Program’s land," Rio continued.

Currently, according to him, there is no housing for the poor. The 0 Down Payment Housing Program, Rio said, was only to serve middle class citizens, while the poor are forced to live hard lives.

Meanwhile, Rio continued, the Community Action Plan Program which was predicted to be the mainstay of Jakarta Provincial Government's program stagnated because the distribution of Jakarta Regional Budget cannot target illegal areas.
