Sandiaga Considers Asian Games Right Momentum for MSMEs to Boost Economy

Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno

JAKARTA, NNC - A vice presidential candidate Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno stated that the Asian Games event is the right momentum to drive the economy, especially for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

"We must maximize this momentum as well as possible," Sandiaga said via his official Twitter account on Thursday (08/23/2018).

Previously Sandiaga admitted that he took the time to visit the MSME in Kemayoran after watching the Asian Games in JIExpo Kemayoran last night, Wednesday.

He hopes that the Asian Games can trigger MSMEs to continue to produce and improve the quality of their production, so that they can compete and rise in class.

"MSME is an economic pulse in Indonesia. If MSME is empowered and given facilities, then this will have a good impact on the country's economy," he said.

Previously, Vice Director of Revenue of INASGOC Mochtar Sarman said the 2018 Asian Games event involved as many as 23 companies with seven of them being MSMEs as official merchandise suppliers of the 2018 Asian Games.

He also ensured that the Asian Games could be an opportunity for MSMEs to learn many things including trends.

He hopes that MSME players will learn to pay attention to the quality and continuity of their products, especially for the 2018 Asian Games event with a millennial target market that likes trendy products.
