KENDARI, NNC - Rainfall showering areas of Kendari City and its surrounding has caused a plane enroute Makassar-Kendari to fail for landing at Haluoleo Airport Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, forcing it to turn back to Hasanuddin Airport Makassar on Tuesday, June 26.
Head of Haluoleo Airport Kendari Rudi Richardo revealed that the plane is Lion Air JT 998 destinations Makassar-Kendari carrying 189/6 passengers.
It was scheduled to land at Haluoleo Airport Kendari at 10:26 a.m. (Central Indonesian Time), but bad weather has caused the plane to have minimum visibility, forcing the plane to turn back around to Makassar at 10:46 a.m.," Rudi said.
The plane, said Rudi, arrived at Hasanuddin Airport Makassar at 11:20 a.m.
"Still awaiting its next landing schedule at Haluoleo Airport," he added.
"Lion Air JT 729 plane destinations Kendari-Jakarta carrying 188/4 is scheduled to depart at 10:35 am. (Central Indonesian Time), but is still on delay waiting for Lion Air JT 998 plane to return to Makassar," Rudi told Antara News.
