"There are several evidences collected, among others four bombs that are ready to be detonated," said Riau Police Chief Inspector General of Police Nandang in a press conference in Pekanbaru, Saturday (6/2/2018) night.
Police Chief said the four bombs had high explosive power, equivalent to bombs that exploded at some point in Surabaya, East Java, sometime ago.
In addition to four homemade bombs, he said police also seized a number of other explosives.
According to Nandang, the explosives are very sensitive.
The explosives and bombs, he said, were deliberately assembled by three suspected terrorists with the initials Z, B, and K. All three were university alumni of the year 2002, 2004 and 2005 respectively.
Currently, he said again, the four bombs have been defused by team Gegana (Bomb Squad) of Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) of Riau Police.
"The bombs are defused now," he said, quoted Antara.
