JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The Crescent Star Party (PBB) targets a minimum of four percent votes in the 2019 Legislative Elections.
"To reach the target, PBB is now continuing to prepare qualified cadres to be able to run in simultaneous 2018 Regional Head Election [Pilkada] and to regenerate at the level of sub-district," said PBB Chairman Yusril Ihza Mahendra when inaugurating the party's Branch Board of Management (DPAC) in Penjaringan Sub-district, North Jakarta, Saturday (10/07/2017).
According to him, PBB continues to regenerate especially in a number of locations such as Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Bali. "For Jakarta, Penjaringan area is one expectation for our voice basis," said Yusril.
He believed that PBB can still exist to the villages and sub-districts up to the smallest unit level in a number of settlements in Jakarta.
"I am sure it can go beyond parliament threshold with a vote above four percent, so PBB can have a representative in the House and have its own faction," he said.
Regarding administrative preparations for the 2019 General Election, Yusril said the party had made party consolidation and administrative preparations in each region.
"So now the registration has been opened, we have prepared and almost finished all before the 16th we can register to the KPU [General Election Commission] as an election participant," he added.
Yusril believed it only needs to register the administrative requirements and no need to do factual verification because it has been done in the 2014 General Election.
"There are no obstacles, I am sure PBB can participate in the 2019 General Election," said Yusril.
