MOUNT KIDUL, NETRALNEWS.COM - The Office of Population and Civil Registration of Mount Kidul Regency, Special District of Yogyakarta, just received 5,000 pieces of electronic identification cards (E-KTP) for residents who have registered on November 2016.
Head of The Office of Population and Civil Registration of Mount Kidul Regency Eko Subiantoro in Mount Kidul, Monday (10/2/2017), said the central government has sent E-KTP twice. First, the Office took 2,000 pieces from the province and the rest from the central government, totaling at 5,000 pieces.
He explained Mount Kidul actually needs 46 thousand pieces from the November 2016 registrations until now.
Eko said the procurement at the central government reached 7.4 million pieces and is being done gradually. So it would take several months to complete.
As of now 97.5 percent of the mandatory 570 thousand citizens have registered for their E-KTP.
"The rest of the 1.7 percent are the elderly and the sick, so when that’s done then we're almost 100 percent complete," he said.
