JAKARTA, NNC - PT Pegadaian (Persero) aims its customers to grow by 2.5 million to 11.5 million this year, said the President Director of PT Pegadaian (Persero) Sunarso after giving a public lecture at Universitas Airlangga (Unair), Surabaya, Thursday (11/08/2018).
Of all the customers owned by Pegadaian, around 68 percent are active customers and belong to productive age category of up to 45 years. "Our target customers are young people and are expected to reach 2 million customers this year," he explained.
For this reason, Pegadaian continues to try to present innovative products for the younger generation. To create and build human resource capacity, PT Pegadaian (Persero) established Pegadaian Corporate University to create human resources and talents with integrity and competency in the financial industry in line with the transformation process in an effort to achieve the corporate goals, in short and long terms.
According to Sunarso, the education unit is a manifestation of the company's increased commitment to improve HR competencies through quality education programs and in line with business development needs in order to support the company's strategic goals.
"We strive to realize the transformation of the education and training management system into a Corporate University mechanism. This Pegadaian Corporate University is one of the breakthrough products and services supported by the latest technology, as well as the development of employee hard & soft skills," Sunarso explained.
Sunarso added that to create quality human resources it needs tools that support the achievement of the program. Therefore, Pegadaian CorpU has established six academic programs consisting of pawning, micro, sharia, digital, operational & sales, and supporting business academy. Besides that there are several non-academic training programs such as induction training, study assignments, and Individual Development Plan (IDP).
Pegadaian CorpU will run three relationship patterns which include Business to Business (B2B), Business to Education (B2E), and Business to Society (B2S) relationships. These three relationship patterns are based on mutually beneficial benefits.
