"With the signing of this memorandum of understanding, we believe Pegadaian's reputation as a trusted State-Owned financial institution always applies GCG principles properly and correctly, especially related to civil law and state administration. Because Pegadaian is always committed to implementing GCG principles that are transparency, accountability, responsibility, independency, and fairness," Sunarso said in Jakarta on Wednesday (11/07/2018).

The signing of this MoU is one of Pegadaian's efforts to build integrity which is one of the corporate value of Pegadaian which is a state-owned enterprise. This is in line with the business and cultural transformation that is being carried out at Pegadaian.

Sunarso added this collaboration aims to improve synergy and as a guideline for cooperation in the implementation of duties and functions of corporate institutions and government institutions.

According to Attorney General HM Prasetyo, the presence of the Attorney General's Office as a state institution is very appropriate to provide legal studies in accordance with the authority it has for Pegadaian. Legal considerations given by the Prosecutor serve as a form of prevention.

"The legal authority possessed by Civil Law and State Administration Division [at AGO] covers legal opinions, legal assistance, and legal audits in the hope of minimizing loopholes in law violations and increasing compliance."

The contents of the memorandum of understanding include coordination and optimization of asset recovery, administration, security of government and development.

In addition to providing legal assistance, legal considerations, and other legal actions in the field of civil law and state administration, as well as exchanging data/information related to law enforcement, increasing the competence of human resources and mortgage services.

Sunarso hopes that the cooperation will run well, so that it can create work that achieves the goals that have been formed optimally. The existence of this collaboration can also help develop Pegadaian's work to be more focused in accordance with applicable law.
