JAKARTA, NNC - For the housing sector, the government has launched a million housing development program back in 2015.
Along with the launch, all government and private institutions are encouraged to support this noble program. One of them is PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI which plays an active role in disbursing Housing Loans (KPR) for Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (FLPP).
BNI's commitment to disbruse KPR to the lower middle class is stated in the Operational Cooperation Agreement (PKO) with other banks, with the Housing Fund Management Center (PPDPP) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).
The Director of BNI Retail Business, Tambok P Setyawati is optimistic that he can meet the target distribution of KPR FLPP.
"To date, the realization of the BNI’s KPR FLPP distribution has reached 124 percent of the original target. BNI is optimistic that it will channel more than three times the original target until the end of 2018," Tambok said in a statement received Wednesday (8/15/2018)
Meanwhile, Managing Director of PPDPP of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Budi Hartono expressed his appreciation to BNI for participating in the achievement of the program. "We will evaluate the performance of the implementing bank in early October 2018 based on the performance of the third quarter of 2018," Budi said.
As of August 9, 2018, FLPP funds that have been distributed by the government have reached IDR32.406 trillion with 532,713 housing units. FLPP funds were first distributed by the government through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing starting in 2010.
