DENPASAR, NNC - The government will soon launch a unified administration system in a network or online single submission (OSS). This system will later accelerate and simplify applicants for business licenses.
"Approximately next week we open the online single submission. This is not the age when administrating SIUP [Business License] or TDP [Corporate Registration Certificate] takes weeks and also IMB [Building Permit] for months," said President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo during the socialization of the final income tax rate of 0.5 percent for MSMEs in Denpasar on Saturday (6/23/2018).
As the online system is in effect, then the delay or constraints in the process of obtaining permits can be traced from the central government to the provincial, district and city governments.
"With this system it can be traced in the central [government] in which ministries it takes long time, in which provinces and districts or cities what institution takes long time, will touch everything, can be seen with the system," said Joko Widodo.
President Jokowi to about a thousand business players in Bali added something related to administration must be reformed in total so that the business world can move fast, flexible and not left behind with other countries.
Nevertheless in that occasion Jokowi asked the public, especially business actors to be patient because changing the work culture to be faster takes considerable amount of time.
President Jokowi also reminded the MSME players to realize the rapid technological changes along with the industrial revolution 4.0. The change, he said, ranges from the digitization of marketing and commerce to the Internet world to a payment system that no longer relies on cash.
"Everything including SMEs should be aware of the rapid changes that must be followed. Inevitably, otherwise will be left behind," he said.
