JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Indonesia-based telecommunications company Indosat Ooredoo (ISAT.JK) has obtained net profit of IDR1.09 trillion as of the end of September 2017, up 29 percent compared to IDR845.4 billion in the same period last year.
The company’s management said on Wednesday (11/15/2017) that its revenues for the period until September 30, 2017, rose 4.8 percent to IDR 22.56 trillion from IDR21.52 trillion in the same period in 2016.
The largest revenue contribution came from the data and internet multimedia business (MIDI) that grew 6.9 percent to IDR3.14 trillion from IDR2.94 trillion. Meanwhile, cellular revenue contribution increased 4.7 percent to IDR18.73 trillion from IDR17.89 trillion.
Indosat Ooredoo’s expenses went up 3.3 percent to IDR19.29 trillion from IDR18.67 trillion. Nevertheless, its operating profit rose 14.7 percent to IDR3.27 trillion from IDR 2.85 trillion a year earlier. EBITDA improved by 4.7 percent to IDR9.90 trillion from IDR9.46 trillion.
Meanwhile, the company's total assets reached IDR47.38 trillion as of September 30, 2017, down 6.8 percent from total assets of IDR50.83 trillion on December 31, 2016.
Its liabilities also fell by 11.2 percent to IDR32.54 trillion compared to IDR36.66 trillion.
