SEMARANG, NETRALNEWS.COM - Citilink Indonesia, subsidiary of state-owned aviation company Garuda Indonesia (GIAA.JK) has opened two new direct flight routes from Semarang, Central Java, to Palembang (South Sumatera) and Banjarmasin (South Kalimantan).
Andy Adrian, Director of Commerce at Citilink Indonesia, said in Semarang, on Saturday (10/28/2017) said the opening of the two direct flight routes was intended to connect inter-city connectivity.
Citilink wants to support the government in developing local tourism potential and accelerate the economic growth of the three regions.
"Semarang, Palembang and Banjarmasin have tourist destinations with unique nuances, all of which have a strategic role in tourism development. We want to help the progress of 20 million foreign tourists by connecting big cities in Indonesia," Andy said.
The new flight routes from Semarang to Palembang and Banjarmasin begins on October 29, 2017. The aircraft accommodates 180 passengers using Airbus A320 aircraft.
Direct flight of Semarang - Palembang is reached within 1 hour 45 minutes, with flight code QG-796. The plane departs from Semarang once a day at 12:05, and arrives in Palembang at 13.50.
While the flight from Semarang to Banjarmasin reaches 1 hour 25 minutes using aircraft QG-974. The plane is scheduled to depart at 08.15 and arrive in Banjarmasin at 10.40 local time.
