JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Indonesia optimizes itself to work on the market potential of tourists from Saudi Arabia at the Riyadh Travel Fair held at Al Faisaliah Hotel, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The huge potential of the tourist market from the Middle East is being continuously optimized by the Indonesian Government. Through the Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) the Indonesian tourism brand "Wonderful Indonesia" continues to be promoted in the frame of the beauty of destinations in the country including the 2019 Riyadh Travel Fair.

The exhibition is one of the largest tourism exhibitions in Saudi Arabia with visitors estimated at 28,000. The event was attended by around 300 exhibitors and 50 countries and will be held for 3 days from 28 to 30 March 2019.

The Ministry of Tourism's Deputy Marketing Development II, Nia Niscaya in Jakarta on Thursday (3/21/2019) said that this effort would be a step to work on the huge tourism market opportunity, especially for Saudi Arabia because visitor growth at the Riyadh Travel Fair event continues to increase from year to year.

"In 2017, the exhibitors reached more than 250 with visitors totaling more than 30 thousand people, we will use this well so that we can contribute to the target of 20 million foreign tourists as targeted this year," Nia said in a press release on Thursday (21 / 3/2019).

The figure, said Nia, increased from the previous Riyadh Travel Fair 2016 which featured 246 exhibitors with 25,724 visitors. In addition, the increase in numbers also jumped significantly by 30 percent compared to the Riyadh Travel Fair 2015.

"We realize that the potential of Riyadh is huge. Meeting B to B Meeting with Riyadh tourism industry players will certainly be optimized. Information will also be provided as completely as possible. Travel packages have also been prepared interesting, "said Nia.

In general, Saudi Arabian tourists are at a very good level of economic prosperity. Referring to data from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, their spending capability is at SAR68 billion.

Statistics of the Tourist Information and Research Center informs that the spending of Saudi Arabia tourists last year reached SAR29 billion. That number comes from the holiday of 4 million Saudi Arabian tourists.

"So far the main destinations they favor are Bali and Jakarta. Then, other alternative destinations are Riau Islands, West Java, East Java, and North Sumatra, "Nia said.

Indonesia itself will feature three components in the Riyadh Travel Fair, namely the distinctive taste of the archipelago coffee, hena painting, and the art of rampak gendang that are expected to amaze visitors.
