MADRID, NETRALNEWS.COM – Real Madrid is rumored to have given new contract offer to his coach Zinedine Zidane. In the proposal, Zidane's salary at Santiago Bernabeu will be doubled.

After the news on new contract to be signed by Isco, the source of AS also revealed the same thing about Zidane who will sign a new contract lasting three seasons.

Zidane was asked to coach Cristiano Ronaldo et al on January 4, 2016 to replace Rafael Benitez. At that time, Zidane signed a two and a half seasons contract or until June 2018.

"Just like Isco, the club is waiting for the right moment to report Zidane's new contract to the public. Zidane is happy with the three-year contract proposal. Zidane deems it is evidence of the confidence of the Club President," said the source.

Interestingly, in the new contract, Zidane's pay will be doubled, from currently EUR4.35 million to around EUR8 million IDR124 billion per season.

Once doubted for having no experience as a senior team coach, Zidane was able to dispel the public's doubt by being able to lead Madrid to win six titles, including two consecutive Champions League titles and a La Liga title last season, in just 20 months. Zidane was claimed to be the fourth most successful coach throughout 115 years of the founding of Madrid. (*)
