MANCHESTER, NNC -- Man United midfielder Andreas Pereira revealed the message Jose Mourinho had conveyed to his players in the locker room.
Pereira spoke of Mourinho after the match and explained how the Red Devils boss tried to encourage them after Man United was left 1-0 to Chelsea over Antonio Rudiger's header in the English Premier League on Saturday (10/20/2018).
"It was difficult at the start of the match but as the manager told us, we had to maintain our confidence and continue to do well," Pereira said.
"And in the second half we scored two very good goals and then in the end we were a little unlucky with the second goal in which we conceded.”
"But I think we did it very well and deserve more and we take good feelings for the next game."
The Belgian-born Brazilian star added: "We have shown that we can arise and that we still have confidence and we are the Man United that everyone is talking about, it's never finished with us.
"We can always bounce back and change the game around and if we continue to do it well, hopefully more wins will come."
Reportedly, Mourinho has been under pressure in recent weeks, but United have shown renewed enthusiasm and good form in their last two matches.
Previously, they beat Newcastle after trailing 0-2 and playing 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Antonio Rudiger broke the deadlock for the Blues with a powerful header in the first half. However, after the break, Mourinho's troops retaliated twice through Anthony Martial.
It seems as if Manchester United will maintain a historic victory over the south-west London club but Barkley has a final decision and the match ends 2-2, as reported by the Mirror.
