MADRID, NNC - Gareth Bale has returned to training with the Real Madrid squad. Bale's return could add a moral injection to coach Julen Lopetegui who has been under pressure.
Bale was replaced at the end of the match when they lost 1-0 to hosts Deportivo Alaves in Madrid's last match during the Spanish League before the international break.
The defeat extended the pace of Madrid's appearance without scoring four games in all competitions, their longest without a goal since 1985. Despite injury, Bale was unexpectedly called on by the Wales national team, but he did not played and was kept on the bench.
The winger missed the friendly against Spain and then left Wales before they recorded victory over Republic of Ireland in the Nations League, because what coach Ryan Giggs called a muscle fatigue.
As reported by the club's official website, Bale had already suffered an injury before the match against Alaves. The injury was first felt after leaving his team to a goalless draw against city rivals Atletico Madrid on September 29.
Madrid will host Levante on Saturday before facing Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League three days later.
