JEREZ, NNC – Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa has denied allegations from Andrea Dovizioso that he was the cause of the accident during the Spanish MotoGP race. Pedrosa claimed to have been on the right path when the incident occurred.
In the Spanish MotoGP race at Jerez Circuit, Sunday (5/6/2018), there was an accident involving three riders at once.
Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo, and Andrea Dovizioso failed to finish the race after crashing into each other in the sixth corner.
On the incident, Dovizioso blamed Pedrosa. As the rearmost rider, Pedrosa called Dovi should have beeen able to avoid the accident.
In addition, Dovi also pointed that Pedrosa turned the corner at high speed, which was denied by the Spanish rider..
"No, I was not going faster, in fact I was able to maintain my racing path," said Pedrosa as quoted from Autosport.
"I rode in my normal racing path, they (Dovizioso and Lorenzo) were slowing down as they widen (around the corner)," Pedrosa continued.
