TURIN, NNC – Tottenham Hotspur admitted it is not at the same level as Juventus, which it will face at the top 16 of the Champions League.Nevertheless, the team is still eyeing for victory in the first match against Juve.

Tottenham Hotspur will visit Juventus’ headquarters at Allianz Stadium on Wednesday (2/14/2018) before hosting the second leg held at Wembley, early March.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams in a competitive match. Since 2016, Spurs and Juventus have met twice in a pre-season game that ended with each team bagging a victory.

However, Juve is still slightly favored compared to Spurs. Juve has far more experience with the success of reaching two finals in three seasons.

However, it cannot be denied that Spurs is growing. Harry Kane and friends unexpectedly came out as group winner by defeating defending champion Real Madrid and more experienced team, Borussia Dortmund.

"I think Juventus is a very big club We cannot compare ourselves with Juventus, Juventus have won everything in their history and in the last three seasons Juventus played in two Champions League final," said Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino as quoted by Football Italia.

"Of course our dreams is to reach a level like Juventus, we have to be brave, we will try and win, of course with great respect for the opposing team, for me this is a game to enjoy," he continued.
