ROMA, NETRALNEWS.COM – Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij has denied claims of him refusing a call from the Netherlands national team that will undergo two "life-and-death" matches in 2018 World Cup qualifier Group A European Zone against Belarus and Sweden, 7 and 10 October.
On Sunday (1/10/2017), De Vrij appear to play for Lazio in the match against Sassuolo. After scoring one goal, De Vrij was pulled off the field in the 66th minute and replaced by Luiz Felipe.
"After the match with Sassuolo, my groin is so stiff. I myself can not practice in this week. About the Dutch national team, simple answer. My physical condition is problematic, "De Vrij confirmed that has defended the Oranje in 31 matches (caps).
