MADRID, NETRALNEWS.COM – Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane will be relying on two of his star players Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale to score against APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League Group H qualifying match at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night (9/13/2017).
In his starting line-up composition, Zidane made a surprise by leaving German playmaker Toni Kroos on the bench. His position is filled by young Croatian star Mateo Kovacic who will accompany his senior Luka Modric and Casemiro.
Despite using 4-3-3 formation, apparently in attack, the Madrid formation will change by shifting Isco's position behind Ronaldo and Bale.
On the other hand, APOEL coach Giorgos Danos did not surprise his 11 best players. Relying on the old 4-4-2 formation, Danos still rely on veteran midfielder Stathis Aloneftis in the left wing and play the Hungarian star Roland Sallai in the right wing.
