HMD Global Set to Launch Nokia 5.1 Plus in Indonesia (themobileindian)
JAKARTA, NNC - HMD Global is preparing to launch Nokia 5.1 Plus on the Indonesian market after releasing Nokia 6.1 Plus at the beginning of last month.
"Nokia 5.1 Plus will arrive later this month. This phone has a full screen design with notch, and 3GB/32GB configuration," HMD Indonesia Country Manager Sanmeet Singh Kocharr told Antara on the sidelines of a media gathering in Bogor on Wednesday (10/10).
Sanmeet said the Nokia 5.1 Plushas been adapted to the wishes of the Indonesian market, which based on HMD research, likes large screens with contemporary designs.
Sanmeet also said the smart phone will be equipped with a Media Tech Helio processor. Unfortunately, Sanmeet has not been able to disclose prices for Nokia 5.1 Plus.
"The price (Nokia 5.1 Plus) is lower than Nokia 6.1 Plus," said Sanmeet.
Nokia 6.1 Plus is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 which is reinforced with 4GB RAM, 64GB of storage space that can be expanded with slots of up to 128GB, and a 3.060mAh battery.
The phone is also equipped with a 16MP + 5MP dual rear dual camera and 16MP front camera, and is offered at a price of Rp.3,399 million.
For sales, Sanmeet said that sales of Nokia 6.1 Plus were beyond expectations. The same thing was also conveyed by HMD Indonesia's Marketing Leader, Miranda Vania Warokka.
"Although there was a little delay, we were maybe five days late, and from five days it was sent immediately. The quantity was as expected," Miranda said.
She continued that HMD Global will complete its mobile line in all price segments with the presence of the second generation or the successor of the device that has been launched.
"Generation 6.1 plus has started launching, maybe later in Q1 next year we have a complete range for all segments ... There may be 2.1 or 2.3, the second generation or successor from before," Miranda said, as quoted by Antara.
