VIETNAM, NETRALNEWS.COM - Dea Goesti Rizkita, Indonesia’s representative at the 2017 Miss Grand International event, has managed to make her country proud. On the final night of the event, held in Phu Quoc, Vietnam, Wednesday (25/10/2017), Dea successfully won two awards.
The third runner-up of the 2016 Puteri Indonesia event was awarded with Best National Costume and Miss Popular Awards.
In the category of Best National Costume, Dea's appearance is indeed captivating through the clothing of Mayaratih Couture and Morphacio Body Art, entitled "Ibu Pertiwi"
This victory makes Indonesia retain a similar title achieved the previous year. Dea had to compete with 77 contestants from other countries. Best National Costume became the first award that was announced.
Furthermore, Dea Rizkita's struggle is still being tested on the Top 10, competing with a number of other contestants from the Czech Republic, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, South Sudan, Thailand, Ukraine, Venezuela and Vietnam.
Miss Grand International event this year has attracted the attention of social media users. The reason, the public was included to vote during the Best National Costume competition held up to two times.
In the first stage, Indonesia topped the list with 7 million votes, followed by Vietnam. In the second phase of voting, Indonesia is back on top with 15 million votes, and is still being pursued by votes for Vietnam.
