ARAB SAUDI, NNC - Local television station Al Arabiya reported that Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz As-Saud vowed Wednesday (12/13/2017) to continue fighting extremism and corruption.
As-Saud issued the statement when he inaugurated the second and seventh Shura sidan, or Consultative Council, at the Council's Headquarters in Riyadh.
"Some government agencies have been reorganized and decisions have been made to preserve the public interest, strengthen internal security, fight corruption, and increase the participation of men and women in national development," King Salman said.
The Saudi king has vowed to continue to empower the private sector to encourage its involvement in development, especially employment for the younger generation.
He also promised to face corruption in a firm but fair way so that the country can enjoy the resurrection and development that every citizen expects.
He adds that any extremist is unacceptable in society.
