JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Heart disease is not a barrier for people with heart disease to do activities, one of them is exercising. Sports can still be done, and is even recommended for people with heart disease.

So, what exercise is suitable for people with heart disease? Heart expert, Dr. Dicky Armein Hanafy SpJP (K), FIHA said, people with heart disease can do sports that the person is able to do.

"As good as possible. There should be no competitive sports, such as football, fighting, boxing," said Dr. Dicky to Netralnews recently in Jakarta.

It is recommended by Dr. Dicky that people with heart disease to do jogging, swimming and cycling. "Exercise as you can see fit," said the doctor who practiced at Columbia Asia Jakarta Hospital.

Dr. Dicky said, people with heart disease can start one of these sports once a month with a short time, to get used to being half an hour per sport.

"After getting used to it, it is recommended to do sports three to five times a week. Initially walking, jogging, then jogging," explained Dr. Dicky.

Dr. Dicky explained, there are many risk factors and the course of the occurrence of heart disease. For example there is a change in the left ventricle, coronary arteries, and a heart attack. Heart rhythm abnormalities can also occur and lack of cubicle function.

"The task of the heart every day is heavy. The heart beats around 60-80 times per minute at rest, 120-160 times per minute while exercising and about 100,000 times per day," said Dr. Dicky.

Not only that, the heart also pumps blood 5 liters per minute or 7000 liters per day. The heart can even fill the freight train along 10 km with blood in 60 years, so it can be concluded that the heart's work is very heavy every day. "Even though humans sleep, but the heart still works to pump blood," he said.
