Dato’ Sri Tahir: No More Street Children in Jakarta by End of Year

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Tahir Foundation has again cooperated with the Ministry of Social Affairs by providing assistance to build a research and services center for street children in Jakarta, Surabaya and Medan, with aid amounting to IDR100 billion.

The cooperation has been officially signed by both parties with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) conducted by Philanthropist Indonesia which is also the founder of Mayapada Group and Tahir Foundation, Dato 'Sri Tahir and Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

In his speech, Dato 'Sri said that poverty is a thing that does not wear and need to be handled seriously. For him , poverty should not only be dealt with logic, but also with a pure and clean heart.

"We cannot sleep yet f=if there are still poor people, because it is still our responsibility together, so I called Mrs. Minister and participate in handling street children," said Dato 'Sri, coinciding with the activities of Isra Mi'raj Memorial at the Ministry of Social Affairs along with all partners and the community, Friday (5/19/2017).

Dato 'Sri states, the form of cooperation in handling street children together under the Ministry of Social Affairs is expected to be more orderly handling.

"That by the end of the year there are no street children in Jakarta," said Dato 'Sri.

Dato 'Sri also hopes that people pray for each other's religions and provide support with the Ministry of Social Affairs. Because the support is a noble thing and lighten the burden of street children and alleviate poverty in Indonesia.

"I am sure with a sincere and clean heart, God will bless this goodness," closed Dato 'Sri.
