Jakarta Metro Police to Summon Rizieq Shihab after Returning from Pilgrimage

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - In connection with the case of 'baladacintarizieq' sexting case, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police will again summon the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) leader, Rizieq Shihab, once he is back in Indonesia.

"We will summon him around May 5-6 once he is back in Indonesia," said Police Inspector General M Iriawan, Chief of Jakarta Metro Police in Jakarta on Monday (5/1).

Meanwhile, according to Sugito Atmo Prawiro, Rizieq Shihab’s attorney, to this day on Tuesday (5/2), there has been no second summon from Jakarta Metro Police in relation to the sexting case.

Sugito expects the summons to come, after Rizieq Shihab returns from a pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. However, he can not confirm his return from Umrah, as he was not told before.

Rizieq Shihab and  Firza Husein are alleged to be involved in sexting or chat with pornographic content through Whatsapp.

Related to the case, there are eight witnesses who have been examined consisting of two expert witnesses and six witnesses who hear, see, and know. Witnesses examined included expert digital forensic witnesses and expert anthropometric witnesses to match the body, face in the picture with the original. In addition there is Emma, whose name is mentioned in the conversation through whatsapp between allegedly done by Habib Rizieq with Firza Husein.

Inspector General of Police M Iriawan briefly mentioned that he would re-call Habib Rizieq Cs after Labor Day or May Day which falls on May 1, 2017. In fact, he insisted that he would perform a forced summoning when Rizieq Shihab returns to Indonesia.
