JAKARTA, NNC - After three days attending the 33rd ASEAN Summit in Singapore, President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo traveled to Merauke, Papua Province.
Information received from the Deputy of Protocol, Press, and Media at the Presidential Secretariat, Bey Machmudin, stated that the Indonesia-1 Presidential plane took the President and Mrs. Iriana with the group to take off from Singapore Changi International Airport on Thursday (11/15/2018) at 18.50 local time.
Arriving at Mopah International Airport, Merauke, Papua Province on Friday (11/16/2018) at exactly 01.20 East Indonesian Time, the President and Mrs. Iriana were welcomed by Papua Governor, Lukas Enembe, Papua Police Chief, Inspector General Martuani Sormin, and Commander of XVII Cenderawasih, Maj. Gen. YosuaPandit Sembiring.
Also welcoming the President to Mopah airport were National Police Chief, General Police Tito Karnavian, Indonesian Armed Forces Commander, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, and Special Staff to President, Lenis Kagoya.
Next, from the airport, the President and Mrs. Iriana and the group headed straight to the hotel where they stayed while in Merauke to continue their working visits the next day.
Also accompanying the President and Mrs. Iriana on flights to Merauke were, among others, Maritime Coordinating Minister, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of State, Pratikno, Head of Presidential Secretariat, Heru Budi Hartono, Military Secretary President Marsda of Indonesian Armed Forces, Trisno Hendradi, Head of State Protocol, Andri Hadi, Private Secretary to the President, Anggit Noegroho, Presidential Security Forces Commander, Maj. Gen. (Mar) Suhartono, and Special Staff President, Adita Irawati.
