Operation Zebra 2018: Police Issue Tickets to 52,366 Violators in 7 days

JAKARTA, NNC - The Jakarta Metro Police's Operation Zebra 2018 has been conducted for seven days until Monday, Nov 5. Throughout the seven days, police have ticketed 52,366 violators (motorcycles and cars).
 
Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Division Chief, Senior Commissioner Argo Yuwono, said there were
66,207 violators during last year's Operation Zebra.

"Compared to last year's result, there was a 21 percent decline or a 13,841 difference," Argo said in Jakarta on Tuesday, Nov 6.
 
Of those 52,366 violaters, authorities have seized 22,697 driver's license and 29,509 vehicle registrations.
 
Operation Zebra 2018 is held from Tuesday, Oct 30 until Monday, Nov 11. Its held as an effort to overcome traffic problems, especially pertaining to accidents.
