JAKARTA, NNC - Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said Indonesia is always at the forefront to support Palestine.
"The Indonesian government and Indonesian diplomacy are always at the forefront when we discuss the issue of Palestine," Retno said on the stage of peace and humanity in a week of peace and humanity at the Car Free Day arena of Hotel Indonesia Roundabout, Jakarta, Sunday (10/14/2018).
As a form of Indonesian support for Palestine, a week of solidarity for Palestine was held which began in Bandung by inaugurating the Palestinian Walk.
Besides that, there were also easy walks in the CFD followed by Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki and a number of officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Tomorrow there will also be a meeting between the Palestinian Foreign Minister and the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Parliament. This week we do many things to reflect our consistent support for Palestine," she said.
Indonesia is one of countries that consistently support Palestinian independence from Israeli rule.
"We are all united as one Indonesia to support Palestinian independence and the struggle of the Palestinian people. Thank you for being here to show our partiality for Palestine. Once again we are united, one Indonesia for Palestine," she concluded, Antara reported.
