PSSI Hands Lifetime Stadium Ban to Assailants of Persija Supporter

JAKARTA, NNCThe suspected assailants of Persija supporter, Haringga Sirila, who was assaulted to death, have been given lifetime stadium bans by the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI).

After the PSSI Disciplinary Commission held a hearing in Jakarta, on Monday (10/01), it was decided that the suspected mobsters also received severe sanctions.

"The sanctions of all suspects who assaulted Haringga Sirila were sentenced to a ban on watching football in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia for life," said the official statement of the PSSI Komdis in Jakarta, Tuesday (10/02/2018).

One type of violation that became the basis of the PSSI Commission for issuing these sanctions was that they had carried out provocations to beatings, accompanied by beatings of Persija Jakarta supporter (Haringga Sirla) to death.

Previously, Bandung Police arrested 16 supporters. However, of these there were eight who were named as suspects, namely Goni Abdulrahman (20), Aditya Anggara (19), Dadang Supriatna (19), Satria Muhammad Renaldi (17), Dani Fahmi Alamsyah (16), Budiman (41), Cepi (20) and Joko Susilo (32)

A number of items of evidence were confiscated by the police from the hands of the suspects, included wooden blocks, broken pieces of plates and bottles, clothes, and victim's clothes and pants.

On Sunday (9/23) afternoon, Haringga died in the parking lot of Bandung Lautan Api Gelora Stadium (GBLA), Gedebage, Bandung, West Java, after being chased, beaten, and assaulted by a number of people using wooden beams, and broken plates and bottles.
