YOGYAKARTA, NNC - The Ministry of Village, Development of Underdeveloped Regions and Transmigration made a new tradition when inaugurating the ministry's officials.
Following the inauguration of echelon 1 officials conducted by the Minister of Village Eko Putro Sandjojo on an open field in North Bengkulu, early last August, for the second time the Ministry of Village inaugurated a number of officials of Village Ministry in Yogyakarta.
The inauguration was carried out by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Village Anwar Sanusi in the Mataraman Village Hall, Panggungharjo Village, Sewon Subdistrict, Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), Wednesday (9/12/2018).
The inaugurated officials included high-rank officials, administrators, and supervisors, amounting to 65 people in total. "Officials are public servants, they must understand well the conditions that occur in the community," said Secretary General of the Ministry of Village Anwar Sanusi after the inauguration which was packed with the tradition of rural Java.
In addition to the location of Mataraman Village which presents rural landscapes, the officials who were inaugurated also wore Javanese traditional clothing, batik cloth complete with beskap (suit) and blangkon (cap), female officials wearing Javanese kebaya (traditional blouse-dress combination).
Secretary General of the Ministry of Village Anwar Sanusi said that with the inauguration held in the village, it was hoped that officials would immediately feel the atmosphere of the village which would remind that the position was from the village community. "This will be a tradition that we will continue to do. Officials will be closer to the community and immediately create work programs that are needed by the community, according to their needs," he explained.
Furthermore, the Secretary General advised officials as servants of the people must become a paradigm that is enforced by the state civil apparatus (ASN). "In order to be a good servant, we must see and hear directly what the aspirations of the community are," he said.
As reported earlier, the inauguration of the high-rank official in Bengkulu was carried out in the Lagita Integrated Independent City (KTM). The transmigration site was chosen since the official who was appointed is the official in charge of transmigration, i.e., the Director General of Regional Preparation and Transmigration Settlement Development Hari Pramudiono.
In addition to inaugurating officials in Panggungharjo Village, at the same place the Secretary General of the Ministry of Village Anwar Sanusi also opened a training of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Academy 4.0 as well as competency-based training for prospective transmigrants at the Yogyakarta Community Training Center.
Also present at the event were Deputy Regent of Bantul Abdul Halim Muslih and officials and elements of the local regional leaders coordination forum (Forkompinda).
