PALEMBANG, NNC -- President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo mentioned Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin "Cak Imin" Iskandar is included in the choices as a vice presidential candidate.
"I have to say what it is, one of the names is Mr. Muhaimin Iskandar," the president said after reviewing the rowing sports arena at Jakabaring Sport City on Saturday (7/14/2018).
The president explained that he was still weighing one of the five figures who would accompany him as vice president in the 2019 presidential election (Pilpres).
Meanwhile, Cak Imin also stated that PKB will support President Joko Widodo in the 2019 presidential election.
"I declare 'Bismillahirrahmanirrahim' [In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful], the PKB supports Mr. Jokowi's candidacy in 2019 and certainly with the hope that today's government and the second period of Mr. Jokowi will really produce prosperity and welfare for the people of Indonesia," said Muhaimin, quoted by Antara.
In relation with the vice presidential candidate, Muhaimin handed it over to President Jokowi and the decision of a number of coalition parties.
