Supported by 6 Sectors, JCI Closes 0.26 Percent Higher

JAKARTA, NNC - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed up 16.4 points (-0.26 percent) to 6,286.7 at the close of early trading on Monday (4/16/2018). A total of 181 stocks rose, 183 stocks fell, and 122 others did not change price. Throughout today, JCI moved in the range of 6262.3 to 635.2.

Trading volume was around 6.71 billion shares, and the frequency of transactions is 336,240 times. The trade value was only IDR4.97 trillion, relatively small compared to the average daily transactions in the range of IDR7 trillion to IDR8 trillion.

A total of six out of 10 sectoral indices recorded strengthening and supported by positive JCI. The various industry rose as high as 1.22 percent, followed by the consumer sector which grew 1.13 percent, and the manufacturing sector rose 0.7 percent. The mining sector fell the most with 0.55 percent.

Himalaya Energi Resources (IDX:HADE) gained 33.9 percent to IDR75 per share, followed by Smartfren Telecom (IDX:FREN) up 26.9 percent to IDR66 per share, and Duta Pertiwi Nusantara (IDX:DPNS) down 24.8 percent to IDR462 per share.

Meanwhile, the top losers were Perdana Karya Perkasa (IDX:PKPK) down 23.4 percent to IDR202 per share, followed by Dian Swastatika Sentosa (IDX:DSSA) down 20 percent to IDR10,410 per share, and Inti Bangun Sejahtera (IDX:IBST) down 19.03 percent to IDR7,125 per share.
