BANDARLAMPUNG, NNC - National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Lampung Province destroyed as much as 3.5 kilograms of methamphetamines (meth) worth IDR3.5 billion resulted from disclosure of cases from January to February 2018.

Head of Lampung BNN Brigadier General of Police Tagam Sinaga at Bandarlampung on Thursday (4/12/2018) said the destruction of 3.5 kg of meth evidence is one of its aims to dispel the public's assumption that the evidence seized by law enforcement can be circulated again in the field.

"We destroy so there is no more assumption amid the community that evidence seized by law enforcement can circulate again in the field," he said.

Tagam added that all the evicted materials were obtained from four narcotics crime reports (LKN) with eight suspects, two suspects were dying for trying to fight officers when they were about to be arrested.

"The suspects' death was not shot dead, but were out of blood when going to the hospital, not shot dead on the spot," he said.

Tagam explained various efforts continue to be done by BNN of Lampung Province to suppress the number of drug trafficking in Lampung, one of them is by impoverishing the drug dealers by charging them Money Laundering Crime Law.

Currently there are two LKN whose files are being investigated by the Attorney with a value reaching IDR7 billion.

He explained most cases of drugs handled by BNN of Lampung Province were controlled from within the prisons by the prisoners.

Police, Tagam said, would be very open if the prison party can discuss it in a forum to prove his words.

He also requested that he be able to conduct discussions related to that with the prison heads in Lampung.

"If wanting to discuss this, please prison leaders come for discussion with me," said Tagam.
