MANADO, NNC - The Indonesia Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts North Sulawesi to be cloudy with a chance of light rain on Saturday (02/24).
"The air temperature is estimated to be 20-33 degrees Celsius with humidity of 55 to 95 percent, while winds will blow from the North-West at 10 to 20 kilometers per hour," said Sutikno, head of Sam Ratulangi Meteorological Station Observation and Information Section on Friday (02/23).
He said the region of North Sulawesi will have sunny and cloudy weather in the morning.
During the day, there is potential of local rain of mild intensity in Tomohon, Kotamobagu, Tondano, Lolak, Boroko, Molibagu, and Tutuyan areas.
At night, the weather has the potential of light local rainfall intensity in Kotamobagu, Amurang, Ratahan, Lolak, Boroko, Molibagu, Tutuyan, Tahuna, and Melongguane areas.
"In the early hours of the morning, there is potential of local light intensity rain throughout the region of North Sulawesi, except Bitung, Tomohon, Amurang, Ratahan, Tutuyan and Ondong Siau," he said.
Governor Olly Dondokambey expects citizens to be aware of the extreme weather that has happened lately.
"Residents who live on the banks of the river, basins, and hill areas are expected to be careful," he said, as reported by Antara. (*)
